The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce is seeking an Accounting Officer to manage daily accounting, treasury operations, and financial reporting for the organisation and its subsidiary/charitable body. The role requires meticulous accounting work, bank reconciliation, and timely filing of statutory returns.

Responsibilities include month-end close, budgeting support, liaising with auditors, and providing secretarial support to committees.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in full‑set accounting or general finance operations.
• Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel; familiarity with tax, audit and HK Companies Registry filing procedures preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and able to manage deadlines.

Aufgaben

• Financial Operations & Treasury Administration: handle daily accounting, payment processing, and treasury administration; manage bank transactions and cash flow; maintain accounts for subsidiary and charitable body.
• Financial Reporting & Compliance: assist month‑end/year‑end closing; prepare management reports, schedules, analyses; support budgeting and tax reporting; liaise with external auditors for annual audit.
• Secretarial & Administrative Support: provide committee secretarial support; meeting coordination and minute‑taking; assist with company secretarial matters and filing of statutory returns.
• Ad‑hoc accounting or administrative tasks as assigned by the Chamber.
