Job summary

Min Xin Insurance Company Limited, a long-established HK general insurer, invites a qualified Insurance Finance professional to join our team in Sheung Wan. You will handle month-end close, bank reconciliations, financial reporting, and assist in regulatory submissions with data accuracy across premiums, claims, and reinsurance.

Requirements include a Master’s degree or above in accounting/finance, HKICPA/ACCA preferred, 3+ years of insurance finance experience, IFRS 17 and RBC knowledge, and

Qualifications

• Master's degree in accounting or finance is required.
• HKICPA/ACCA qualification is preferred.
• 3+ years of insurance finance experience.
• Knowledge of IFRS 17 and RBC is a plus.
• Strong written Chinese and English skills; ability to communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Daily accounting data processing: record and enter vouchers for premiums, commissions, claims, and reinsurance, ensuring data consistency between systems.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing.
• Perform monthly bank account reconciliations and prepare bank reconciliation statements.
• Prepare internal management financial statements for business decisions.
• Prepare reports for external regulators and ensure timely submission.
• Prepare annual statutory audit materials and support auditors; assist in profits tax computations and tax filing.
• Handle basic administrative duties as required and complete ad hoc projects.

Daily accounting data processing: Record and enter business vouchers for premiums, commissions, claims, and reinsurance, ensuring data consistency between the business system and the financial system.

Assist in month-end and year-end closing, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Perform monthly bank account reconciliations and prepare bank reconciliation statements.

Prepare internal management financial statements to provide data support for business decisions.

Prepare reports for external regulators and ensure timely submission.

Prepare annual statutory audit materials and support external auditors in completing the audit; assist in preparing Profits Tax computations and tax filing documents, and complete tax filings on time.

Handle basic administrative duties as required, including voucher sorting, file archiving, document copying, etc.

Ad Hoc Project Execution: Complete other tasks assigned by supervisors.

Master's degree or above.

Degree in accounting, finance, economics, or other related disciplines.

HKICPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.

3 years or more of insurance finance experience; experience with IFRS 17 and RBC preferred.

Proficient in computer applications, including Excel and Word.

Strong written Chinese and English skills; fluency in Mandarin, English, and Cantonese preferred.

Well-organized, proactive, analytical, able to work independently and under pressure.

Strong sense of responsibility, proactive, highly independent, eager to learn, and conscientious with a responsible work attitude.
