Job description

Founders today are building global companies from day one — but the systems that manage their money were built for a different era. Aspire exists to change that!

We’re building the financial operating system for global founders, bringing banking, software, and automation into a single platform so businesses can move faster across borders and stay focused on building.

Aspire is built by people who think from first principles, care deeply about solving hard problems, and take real ownership of their work. Our team brings global experience from leading fintech and technology companies, and many of us are former founders and operators who understand what it takes to build thoughtfully, make trade-offs, and deliver at scale in a global environment.

Backed by leading global investors including Y Combinator, Peak XV, and Lightspeed, Aspire has been trusted by more than 50,000 startups and growing businesses worldwide to manage their finances since 2018. Together with partners like J.P. Morgan, Visa, and Wise, we’re building for the next generation of global companies.

About the team

Our Sales tribe helps founders and businesses discover what Aspire can do for them. You'll work directly with prospects to understand their needs and bring them onto the platform — in this case, a segment we're opening up for the first time.

About the role

Aspire is building the financial operating system for growth-stage businesses across APAC. As we expand beyond payments and expense management, cash management is the next frontier — and this role is the founding commercial presence for that segment.

You won't be stepping into a defined playbook. You'll be writing it. Working at the intersection of sales and product, you'll bring deep transaction banking expertise from an institutional background, translate that into a commercial motion for high-growth mid-market companies, and help shape how our cash management product evolves to serve them. This is for someone who has spent years inside a major bank's transaction banking or cash management unit and is ready to build.

What you'll own
  • Pioneering new-logo acquisition for Aspire's mid-market accounts across high-growth companies in HK and China — defining the ICP, the sales motion, and the commercial narrative from the ground up
  • Running deep discovery into treasury and cash management pain: multi-entity structures, cross-border liquidity, collections infrastructure, FX exposure, and fragmented banking relationships
  • Positioning Aspire as the modern alternative to incumbent bank relationships
  • Building multi-threaded relationships across CFO, Finance Director, and Treasury, engaging stakeholders who are used to institutional-grade solutions and need a credible, product-literate counterpart
  • Partnering directly with Product to feed market requirements into the cash management roadmap — you're a co-builder of the product, not just a seller of it
  • Acting as the internal authority on transaction banking, educating GTM, marketing, and leadership on how this segment buys, what it values, and how Aspire should be positioned
What you need to be successful
  • 7+ years in transaction banking, cash management, or corporate banking (institutional background from DBS, OCBC, HSBC, or equivalent strongly preferred)
  • A demonstrated track record of acquiring and growing corporate relationships across cash management, payments, and liquidity products
  • Fluency across transaction banking products: multi-currency accounts, collections, payables, liquidity management, FX, and corporate payment infrastructure
  • Comfort selling to CFOs, Finance Directors, and Treasury Managers in a consultative, solutions-led motion
  • Experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder buying processes with long sales cycles
  • Fluency in Mandarin and Cantonese
  • A self-starter instinct — you build structure in ambiguity and define the playbook
  • Energy for landing high-growth accounts, and an understanding of the compounding value of strong logos
  • Conviction that the future of growth-stage finance is consolidated and automated
  • Has a strong grasp of artificial intelligence concepts and the ability to apply AI tools (e.g. Claude, n8n, etc.) and frameworks to solve real-world problems at Aspire
