Job summary

KPMG China invites applications for an IT Audit internship in Hong Kong. You’ll support day-to-day IT audit engagements, focusing on quality and innovative approaches.

Ideal candidates are final-year students with a bachelor’s degree, fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, with strong communication and analytical skills.

You’ll learn to use IT risk assessment tools, work with the engagement team, and gain practical experience in audit delivery within a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute IT audit and assurance engagements with a focus on audit quality and audit innovation.
• Support the Engagement manager with scoping, financial management, delivery of risk management activities, identification and communication of IT audit findings.
• Identify and use the most appropriate IRM technology tools to complete and document audit work.
• Assist with scoping, financial management, risk management delivery and the initial review of deliverables.
• Complete tasks and deliverables to a high-quality standard as part of the audit – working to an agreed plan, budget and quality standards

About IT Audit

IT Audit specialists assist engagement teams in:

• determining the effect of information technology (IT) related risks on the audit;
• understanding these risks in relation to the IT control environments over the relevant financial reporting related applications and platforms; and
• determining an audit approach to respond to the risk of material misstatement as a result of the IT risks relevant to the financial statement audit.

Requirements

• Final year university student with a bachelor’s degree or above from all disciplines, ideally accounting, computer science, computing engineering, business-related with information systems knowledge
• Fluency in both written and verbal English, Cantonese and Mandarin
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Passionate, committed, and eager to succeed
• Self-starter with good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong teamwork ability together with ability to work independently
• A permanent resident or holder of the right of abode in the location you are applying for
