A local engineering firm in the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds seeks an experienced Welder to join their team. The role involves welding bespoke one-offs and bulk architectural metalwork, and requires flexibility in work environments. Candidates should have experience welding various gauges and must have their own transport due to location. The position offers a standard 40-hour week with potential for overtime.

Pay: 15ph (negotiable based on experience)
Hours: 40 hours per week, 08:00-17:00
Contract: Temp-Perm
- Weld a mix of bespoke one-offs and bulk architectural metalwork.
- Be flexible about where you will be working within a small engineering firm.
- Be familiar with punching, pressing, bending, grinding, drilling, tapping, fettling.
- The welding will vary from thin gauge work to heavy duty, so you should have relevant experience.
- Previous experience operating machinery is not essential but would be advantageous.
- Experience as a welder/fabricator with the ability to weld a range of gauges.
- Own transport is required due to location and lack of local public transport.
- Live locally to Woolpit, Suffolk.
Overtime is available at increased rates of pay. Standard hours are 08:00-17:00 on a 40-hour week, but we can be flexible with this.
