Job summary
A civil engineering contractor is seeking a Civil Supervisor based in Portsmouth, Hampshire. The successful candidate will lead site inductions, monitor project progress, and ensure compliance with safety standards. Key qualifications include a Driving Licence, CSCS, and relevant experience in civil engineering/utility projects. This role offers a salary range of £40,000 - £50,000.
Qualifications
- Driving Licence required.
- CSCS certification necessary.
- Experience with SSSTS or SMSMTS needed.
- Familiarity with highways and high-speed road networks.
- NRSWA street works supervisory accreditation essential.
- Strong commercial experience required.
- Previous work on civil engineering or utilities projects.
Responsibilities
- Conduct site inductions and staff briefings.
- Assist in maintaining and preparing CPP.
- Monitor project progress within the agreed timeline.
- Oversee risk assessments and method statements.
- Manage resourcing levels as needed.

A civil engineering / utilities contractor is seeking an experienced Supervisor to bolster the site leadership team, working on multi discipline civil and utility schemes across the Hampshire region.
Projects range from general local authority and private client schemes ranging in value up to £10m.
Responsibilities:
- Site inductions and staff briefings
- Assisting in maintenance and preparation of CPP
- Monitoring progress within the agreed programme
- Monitoring risk assessments and method statements
- Monitoring resourcing levels and increasing/decreasing where necessary
To be suitable for the position you must have:
- Driving Licence
- CSCS
- SSSTS or SMSMTS
- Highways and High speed road network experience
- NRSWA (Street works supervisory accreditation)
- Strong Commercially experience
- Experience of working on civil enigneering or Utilities projects
