RAC is looking for a proactive and technically skilled Information Security Analyst to join our dynamic Security Operations team. This role is central to strengthening our cybersecurity posture through proactive monitoring, detection, and response across multiple domains including threat intelligence, incident response, and vulnerability management.

You’ll work closely with our Security Architect & Engineering Manager, delivering robust security operations and technical expertise while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that reduce organisational risk. • Monitor, detect, and respond to security threats across multiple domains.
• Conduct incident response and forensic investigations.
• Enhance detection capabilities and lead threat hunting initiatives.
• Collaborate with IT, digital teams, and managed service providers.

• Perform triage, analysis, and response actions to security alerts.
• Conduct cyber incident response, including forensic analysis and reporting.
• Enhance detection capabilities across endpoint, network, and SIEM platforms.
• Apply threat intelligence and lead threat hunting activities.
• Support vulnerability and access management operations.
• Mentor junior analysts and advise technical teams.

• CrowdStrike expertise is essential – hands‑on experience with CrowdStrike Falcon for endpoint detection and response.
• 2‑3 years’ experience in SOC or incident handling.
• Hands‑on experience with monitoring tools and alert analysis.
• Knowledge of forensic techniques, incident response, and blue‑team defence strategies.
• Familiarity with threat hunting and detection engineering.
• Coding/scripting skills (advantageous).
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and ability to stay calm under pressure.

• Degree not required (BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or similar is a plus).
• Professional certifications (GCIA, GCIH, GCTI, GMON, CISSP) beneficial.

Hybrid—based at any RAC office (Bristol, Manchester, Midlands) with full flexibility and no fixed office days.
