Title: Health & Safety Manager (site based)
Location: Hinkley Point
Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 + benefits + accommodation (if required)

Our client is a leading Tier 1 specialist Cladding & Roofing contractor working with leading Tier 1 main contractors on large flagship new build major projects. The business has a loyal and robust client base and is experiencing a period of growth - looking to expand.

1. A fantastic opportunity for an experienced senior Health & Safety Manager to be based on Hinkley Point overseeing site H&S.
2. Promote health, safety, environment and quality to all staff, contractors and business partners so that it becomes a part of our day to day business and supports the realisation of our commitments.
3. Influence and deliver training, communication and engagement programmes in regard to HSEQ vision and strategies.
4. Be the subject matter expert supporting the business to achieve its commitments including accreditation to ISO and equivalent standards across the business.
5. Lead & Direct the Behavioural Based Safety Improvement Programme.
6. Lead & direct site SHEQ planning to satisfy the client base and operational spheres of activity.
7. Ensure Monthly Briefings are produced, delivered and recorded.
8. Projects SHEQ expert and owner of risk management strategies, proactive planning and engagement, to create a culture of HSEQ compliance.
9. Client facing role.

1. NEBOSH Diploma desirable/working towards, but minimum of NEBOSH General Certificate or NEBOSH in Construction.
2. Minimum 5 years Construction experience essential.
3. Cladding/Roofing Experience highly beneficial.
4. Knowledge & understanding construction industry standards.
5. Worked at a level of influence with internal and external stakeholders.
6. Ability to deliver high level, high impact presentations effectively and report writing.
7. Change management and problem-solving capabilities.
