Job Title: Test Systems Product Safety Engineer

Location: Stevenage - 2/3 days onsite

The Role:

So, what will you be doing as a Test Systems Product Safety Engineer?

1. Leading the identification and management of Product Safety requirements through comprehensive hazard and risk assessments.
2. Supporting project delivery in accordance with the Safety Management Plan.
3. Developing robust safety designs and logical safety arguments backed by detailed Safety Case justification reports.
4. Chairing hazard identification meetings and ensuring accurate maintenance of the project hazard log.
5. Participating in peer reviews and conducting verification and assurance activities to validate the integrity of Safety Cases and supporting documentation.

What are we looking for in our next Test Systems Product Safety Engineer?

1. Proficiency in MATLAB and Simulink.
2. A strong understanding of engineering safety management processes, including hazard analysis and safety case production.
3. Deep knowledge of safety principles as they relate to systems engineering, and experience integrating them into engineering workflows.
4. Demonstrated experience creating comprehensive safety justification reports.
5. Solid background in Safety Engineering principles and industry-standard practices.

Desirable:

1. Familiarity with systems engineering tools and methodologies (e.g., DOORS, Enterprise Architect).
2. Experience working within defence or similarly complex systems environments, particularly those involving software.
3. Working knowledge of tools like JIRA.
