Job summary
A recruitment agency is seeking a food production operative in Nottingham. The role includes handling, checking, and processing various vegetables. - Check and wash delicate vegetables.
- Pack orders according to customer requirements.
Skills
Are you looking for a long term role as a food production operative?
- Handling — using knife skills to prepare vegetables, including separating florets of broccoli/cauliflower, slicing sweet potatoes into wedges, and removing the cores from peppers.
- Checking — washing and preparing delicate vegetables to required standards and processes.
- Processing — hand preparing root crops into bags up to 10 kg in weight.
- Inspecting and sorting peeled root crops to meet customer requirements.
- Packing orders to meet customer requirements, pallet banding and wrapping.
- Past experience working in a warehouse.
- Experience in a similar environment is advantageous but not essential.
- The environment is very cold, so you must be comfortable working in these conditions.

- This is an ongoing role.
- You will work 3-5 days per week, including weekends.
- Starting at 8:00 am and working between 8 and 12 hours per day.
- Rate: £12.21 per hour.
