Job summary
A leading planning services provider in the UK is seeking an experienced Enforcement Officer to investigate alleged breaches of planning control. The ideal candidate will plan and conduct investigations, prepare reports for committees, and negotiate resolutions. Some hybrid working is possible, balancing site visits and meetings. This initially 3-month contract offers a competitive rate of £46/hr Umbrella.
Responsibilities
- Planning, organising and conducting investigations of alleged breaches of planning control.
- Preparing reports with recommendations on cases for committees or management.
- Resolving cases through negotiation and implementing enforcement actions.
Our client in the East Midlands are seeking an experienced Enforcement Officer to investigate alleged breaches of planning control.
- Planning, organising and carrying out the investigation of alleged breaches of planning control by way of paper, computer and on site investigations and monitoring.
- Preparing written reports to Committee or the Head of Planning Services / Planning Development Manager as appropriate with recommendations on cases and performance.
- Resolving as many cases as possible through negotiation. Implementing decisions to take enforcement action or to prosecute under the Planning Acts by preparing and serving the appropriate Notices.
