A progressive planning service in East Midlands seeks an experienced Ecology Team Leader to guide its new ecological team. In this role, you'll provide expert advice on planning applications and regeneration projects, ensuring biodiversity is integrated into developments. Ideal candidates will have a relevant degree and significant ecology experience, along with excellent communication and organisational skills. We are looking for a motivated, experienced and dynamic Ecology Team Leader to help us establish our growing ecology team.
You’ll act as the Council’s lead specialist on ecology and biodiversity, provide expert advice for a wide range of planning applications and strategic regeneration projects, as well as help progress planning policy documents.
You will have the opportunity to develop and build strong partnerships with a wide range of organisations at national, regional, and local levels to ensure biodiversity is embedded appropriately in new development in the district.
You will also be committed to continuous professional development and helping us drive service improvement.
