A prominent recruitment agency is seeking a Senior Practitioner for Birmingham Children’s Trust, requiring a professional qualification in Social Work and over 4 years of experience. Neway International are seeking Senior Practitioners (SP) – 4+ years’ experience to join our client Birmingham Children’s Trust.
Location: St Thomas Centre, Birmingham
Hours: 36.5 per week (08:45 – 17:15)
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: ONGOING
Pay Rates: PAYE £24.52 per hour / Limited/Umbrella £33.30 per hour

As Senior Practitioner, you will bring extensive experience and specialist knowledge in the Pre Birth arena. You will undertake pre birth assessments, parent assessments, and utilise tools such as CUBUS or PAMs to inform safe planning and decision-making for vulnerable babies. This is a fast‑paced role requiring strong risk‑management skills for both pre and post‑birth cases, as well as expertise in supporting parents whose children have been removed from their care.
You will manage complex cases across CIN, CP, and ICO, contribute to legal planning and pre‑proceedings, and work collaboratively with multi‑agency partners to address issues such as substance misuse, mental health, homelessness, and domestic abuse.
