We're seeking an Operations Manager to play an integral role within our contract, delivering a first-class service and achieving fantastic results.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• Managing day to day operational activities to fulfil customer requirements OTIF to specification
• Adherence to compliance both internal and external regulatory bodies
• Maintain and promote H&S culture across the site
• Control and monitor IT tools such as RP, BY, APOS
• Monitor agreed resource level across site in line with budgets and productivity targets
• Manage and enhance performance management
• Engage with Union to facilitate collaboration between management and colleagues throughout the operation to deliver the goals
• Planning corrective action meetings and preparing response to audits
• Support CSR initiatives across site
• Ensure effective communication processes are established for both internal and external customers
• Review, develop and maintain/improve operational processes in line with DfT guidelines
• Record and proactively manage KPI's to drive continuous improvement in the service level and cost performance to AWC
• Work closely with H&S and Food technical team to ensure all standards of food safety are followed
• Liaise with Food Technical team on safety audits and support implementation plans
• Work towards minimising impact on train delays due to operational process error
• Maintain and deliver PI initiatives to help site achieve commercial goals
• Responsible for delivery of financial and non-financial KPIs and Gainshare targets for the site
• Budget management
• Carry out HR functions as required
• Lead and support employee engagement initiatives
• Train and develop operations team from management to colleague
• Responsible for sickness/absence management, working towards site KPIs and managing within set HR guidelines

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Preferred experience within catering logistics operation or warehouse logistics operation
• Middle management experience
• IT literate - particularly capable to input, manipulate and analyse Excel data
