About the role
As a Supermarket Assistant, you'll help create a positive experience for our customers by providing excellent Partner-led service and demonstrating passion for food. Your dedication to going the extra mile will enhance the Waitrose brand's reputation and foster customer loyalty.

Applicants must be 18 years or over due to working time regulations.

In addition to the stated pay, you will receive a shift premium for hours worked between 22:00 and 06:00, paid at the role's minimum pay rate.

Key Responsibilities

Your role involves various shop-keeping tasks to ensure efficient operations, including:

• Stock replenishment to keep shelves full and products correctly placed.
• Fulfilling online customer orders for delivery.
• Reducing wastage through product due diligence and markdowns.
• Supporting the wider team with checkout, Click & Collect, and on-demand orders.
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment.

Essential skills/experience you'll need

• Effective communication skills for teamwork and customer interaction.

• Experience in a customer-facing role.
• Interest in food and drink trends.
• Flexible approach to support the branch.
