The Client:

A leading global financial services firm is looking for a senior employment lawyer to head their employment legal functions. As the head of the team, you will have line management responsibility and work closely with senior stakeholders to support the firm's strategy on a cross-border basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal advice on employment law matters.
• Focus on non-contentious and contentious employment law issues across EMEA, including recruitment, performance management, terminations, restrictive covenants, immigration, etc.
• Support contractual matters.
• Collaborate with People Operations teams to develop and improve employment processes and procedures.
• Serve as a legal advisor on various business initiatives and transactions within the employment law scope, primarily in London/EMEA.
• Work in multidisciplinary teams across departments.
• Manage and liaise with external counsel when needed.

Qualifications:

• 10+ PQE employment lawyer, preferably with law firm or in-house experience.
• Experience advising on both non-contentious and contentious employment matters is advantageous.
• Financial services experience is not mandatory.
• Collaborative, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
