Job description

In order to develop and expand the capabilities of SAFRAN Engineering Services in the UK, a Systems Engineer vacancy is open to support developments of Aerospace Cabin interior activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage requirements on engineering projects, ensuring they are fully documented and traceable in line with the Requirements Management Plan.
  2. Capture & validate all stakeholder requirements - both internal and external.
  3. Review Requirements with Subject Matter Experts and Test Engineers.
  4. Work closely with the engineering project team to ensure validation & verification activities are completed on time to support the Master Engineering Reviews.
  5. Develop the product verification strategy and ensure agreement with all stakeholders.
  6. Provide status reports for requirements capture, compliance status, validation, and verification.
  7. Create and maintain product specification documents for internal and customer approval.
  8. Liaise with Engineering Design / DMU configurator to maintain product configuration.
  9. Capture and manage Interfaces / Definition Control Models (DCM) to define required requirements traceability.
Qualifications:

Degree level or equivalent, MSc preferred, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a System Engineering environment.

Requirements:

Essential skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of Aerospace Cabin Interior Systems (Galleys, Seats, etc.).
  • Experience with MBSE tools and methods to define operational, functional, and physical requirements.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in progressing DFMEA with a cross-functional development team.
  • Ability to utilise robust problem-solving methods to address problems systematically.
  • Awareness of A/C industry standards, regulations, and qualification requirements.
  • Good English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work to tight, demanding deadlines and customer demands.
  • Ability to work effectively within an integrated project team.
