The Gas, Power & Derivatives Graduate Scheme can help with that. As part of this scheme, you’ll gain experience using advanced technology and data analysis to monitor trends, flows and prices of Power, understand gas storage and transport, the development of renewable energy (Hydrogen) and how to hedge to minimise short, medium, and long-term risks.

Whether your ambitions are to become a Trader or to build a career developing renewable energy, you will have direct exposure to the market and will be trusted with individual responsibility. Entrepreneurial abilities, accuracy, and strong communication skills are the key ingredients for a successful career in trading at SEFE. In addition we look for

• A 2 : 1 degree – or the equivalent in any degree
• Strong technical ability, including Excel skills
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills
• A quick learner
• Strong attention to detail

Our Front Office Graduate Scheme is a 2-year straight to desk programme. This will give you time to develop an in-depth knowledge of your business area and to build your skills to become highly capable in your area of expertise. You will learn from your more experienced team members about the market and how it operates as well as technical knowledge relevant to your team.

From Regulatory Affairs, to Power Operations, to Commercial Change, Hydrogen, Power Trading, and Commercial Operations you will learn how the how deal life cycle happens from intraday trading to long term trading. These teams are responsible for the trading of energy to ensure that we secure energy for Europe. You will learn and understand the entire energy deal lifecycle as well as managing risks.
