Unum is seeking a strategic and commercially minded Broker Proposition Manager to lead the development and delivery of compelling intermediary propositions that drive engagement, revenue growth, and market differentiation. To be successful in this position you will own, manage, develop and execute Unum’s overall Broker proposition with a specific focus on digital propositions. Supporting key strategic pillars and metrics to drive growth.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver measurable outcomes from proposition initiatives, including improved broker engagement, increased close rates across all segments, and enhanced revenue performance with a specific focus to online segments.
• Act as the voice of the intermediary and customer, shaping clear and compelling value propositions that align with broker and employer needs, and are easily understood across internal and external audiences.
• Collaborate closely with Unum’s broker distribution consultants and operational teams to design and implement initiatives that support both internal objectives and intermediary success.
• Own and monitor key performance metrics, using data and analytics to evaluate initiative effectiveness and inform future proposition development.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with key intermediary partners, co-creating a roadmap of enhancements and tactical initiatives that support the sales plan and uphold service excellence.

A major focus of this role will be on digital and online propositions. You will lead initiatives to enhance Unum’s online broker experience, including the development of digital tools, platforms, and content strategies that improve engagement and streamline interactions. Experience in designing and delivering online propositions from concept through to execution is essential.

Experience in financial services is essential, with insurance preferred. A background in broker, adviser, or intermediary distribution is advantageous. Candidates must have a proven track record of designing, implementing, and presenting customer initiatives, alongside strong data and analytical skills, excellent relationship-building and communication abilities, and a clear understanding of customer journeys and needs.
