In this role, you will leverage your expertise to establish strong relationships with suppliers and customers, manage trading opportunities, and optimize inventories to meet the growing demand in the global market. Key Responsibilities

• Source, buy, and sell a variety of nuts (almonds, cashews, walnuts, etc.) and dried fruits (raisins, apricots, figs, etc.) globally.
• Develop and maintain relationships with producers, processors, and customers to expand our trading network.
• Identify market trends, pricing movements, and supply / demand dynamics to make informed trading decisions.
• Negotiate trade contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with suppliers and customers.
• Monitor and manage logistics, quality control, and inventory to ensure timely and efficient product delivery.
• Collaborate with the finance team to manage risk and optimize cash flow.
• Prepare and present market analysis and trading reports to senior management.
• Engage in supply chain management to ensure quality assurance from origin to end customer.
• Participate in trade shows and industry events to represent the company and network within the industry.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Agriculture, Economics, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
• 3–7 years of experience in trading nuts, dried fruits, or related commodities.
• Strong understanding of global market dynamics, pricing structures, and industry trends.
• Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record in contract negotiation.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills—ability to analyze data trends and market statistics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and trading software; experience with ERP systems is advantageous.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to build rapport with stakeholders.
• Fluency in English and German is a must; additional languages (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin) are a plus.
• Willingness to travel for supplier meetings, market visits, and industry events.
