The nuclear medicine department is currently looking to recruit a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to work at one of the country’s largest NHS Trusts, Barts Health NHS Trust. The department is spread across three sites: St Bartholomew’s Hospital, Royal London Hospital, and Whipps Cross University Hospital. It comprises 4 SPECT-CT scanners, 1 Gamma Camera, and a state-of-the-art GE Discovery PET-CT.
The trust also operates major GFR services for oncology, a therapy service, and a large in-house Radiopharmacy department. Recently, a new SPECT CT system was installed at RLH, with plans to add another PET CT system and expand radionuclide therapy services. Additionally, the department runs a highly active Rubidium cardiac service, one of the busiest in the country.
The department is well led by senior managers and supported by Medical Physics and Nuclear Medicine Physicians, who provide guidance and support.
