The team is well regarded within the Local Authority and other stakeholders, and is well placed within the SEN and Inclusion Service. We are actively building capacity in the service to meet demand and pioneer innovative practices. Alongside EHCNAs the EPS prioritises protected delivery of traded services for all non‑statutory work and offers centralised traded training with exciting opportunities to develop expertise for EPs. All EPs are involved in our accredited ELSA and MeLSA training or supervision program, for which we have been awarded the ELSA Quality Mark. We have an established consultation model of service delivery that values the application of psychology, innovative practice and professional integrity and provides variety in the work of our EPs. We place emphasis on professional judgement and use a wide range of tools and approaches to deliver services at the early stages of intervention. Peterborough EPS prioritises continuous professional development to promote up‑to‑date practice of a high standard. We maintain strong links with universities and offer opportunities to develop expertise across all EPs, including supervision of TEPs, ELSAs and EBSA to encourage and support career progression. We work closely with our trainees, an assistant educational psychologist and a psychology assistant to promote access to psychology across the city.

We have an open access service for parents/carers and young people, including bookable community consultations.

As a Senior EP you will work collaboratively as part of the senior leadership team to develop and support service delivery, strategic planning and LA initiatives. You will provide supervision and line management for Educational Psychologists, Psychology Assistants, Assistant Psychologists and Trainee Educational Psychologists.

• Develop and support service delivery and strategic planning for the EPS.
• Provide supervision and line management for the educational psychology staff.
• Encourage and support career progression, including supervision of TEPs, ELSAs and EBSA.
• Support schools to deliver the graduated approach for children, young people and young adults, in accordance with the Code of Practice 2014.

• At least three years experience as a qualified Educational Psychologist.
• Registered with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC).
• Seeking part‑time or full‑time work.
• Able to embrace our consultation service delivery model and contribute positively, building and shaping high‑quality service.
• Able to develop and deliver training and supervision to school and setting staff, applying up‑to‑date theory and research.
• Effective communicator with sound knowledge of current practice in Educational Psychology and legislation concerning special educational needs, and competent in delivering training to a wide range of audiences.
• Able to support schools to deliver the graduated approach for children, young people and young adults who may have SEN and other concerns as outlined in the Code of Practice 2014.
