Responsibilities
- Lead on the preparation, implementation and monitoring of the Local Plan.
- Develop and monitor policy, ensuring alignment with the district’s growth and sustainability objectives.
- Contribute to monitoring land supply and delivery, neighbourhood planning, and the Duty to Cooperate.
- Support regeneration and master planning initiatives within the district.
- Engage with stakeholders, ensure timely delivery of key Local Plan projects.
Education

Position: Senior Planning Officer (PO2/PO3)
Salary: £37,336 - £43,421 per annum (pro rata for part-time posts)
Hours: 37 hours per week

Location: Britannia House, Bradford
Bradford and its extensive district is an award-winning, cultural destination with a vibrant mix of heritage, arts, and moorland. This role supports the team leading on the Local Plan, building on adopted documents to create an up-to-date plan that aligns with clean growth ambitions and transformational opportunities such as Northern Powerhouse Rail.
- Lead on the preparation, implementation and monitoring of the Local Plan.
- Develop and monitor policy, ensuring alignment with the district’s growth and sustainability objectives.
- Contribute to monitoring land supply and delivery, neighbourhood planning, and the Duty to Cooperate.
- Support regeneration and master planning initiatives within the district.
- Engage with stakeholders, ensure timely delivery of key Local Plan projects (including publication and submission stages).
