Technical Project Manager – Hybrid working (2 days per week) – Oxford - £90,000 - £110,000 - SC Clearance
About the Role
Intec Select have partnered with deep tech AI organisation who are looking for an experienced Technical Project Managerto lead the delivery of complex software projects across a diverse engineering landscape. You will be instrumental in translating product vision into reality, managing multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring projects are delivered with technical excellence, on time and on budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of software projects from planning through to production.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, QA, and stakeholders.
- Manage Agile processes (Scrum or Kanban), run stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint planning.
- Proactively identify delivery risks and manage trade-offs between scope, schedule, and resources.
- Engage technically with engineering teams (e.g., reviewing GitHub PRs, discussing architecture trade-offs).
- Prepare and own key delivery artefacts such as Vision Documents, Test Plans, Delivery Roadmaps, etc.
- Track and report on budgets, timelines, and KPIs to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory or security frameworks where required (e.g., healthcare, finance, defence).
- Facilitate integration of LLMs or Retrieval-Augmented (RAG) pipelines, where applicable.
Required Experience
- 2+ years as the primary Technical Project Manager for at least 2 software products shipped to production in the past 3 years.
- Experience leading engineering teams using React (frontend) and/or Python (backend) technologies.
- Comfortable working in GitHub, reviewing PRs, and contributing to discussions about technical trade-offs.
- Demonstrated accountability in Agile project delivery, including timeline and budget tracking.
- Proven ability to author or commission delivery documentation and artefacts independently.
