As a Finance Business Partner, you will support a transformative infrastructure programme at Devonport, aiding future MOD ship and submarine operations. You will work within the Major Infrastructure Projects (MIP) Business Unit, focusing on facility development, including docking and berthing facilities for Astute Class submarine maintenance.

Your daily responsibilities include providing financial services and support to the Senior Finance Business Partner, collaborating with operational teams to ensure strong financial performance. Key duties:

1. Maintain a strong control and governance framework.
2. Ensure complete and accurate accounting records, applying relevant standards, including IFRS 15.
3. Conduct financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
4. Present financials to stakeholders, fostering relationships for timely and relevant information sharing.
5. Support finance initiatives to improve reporting consistency and efficiency, leveraging new tools and methods.

This is a full-time role, 35 hours per week, with hybrid working arrangements (2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home).

• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• In-depth knowledge of financial systems, including SAP.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong data analysis capabilities to support financial decision-making.
• Excellent people skills, fostering collaboration and effective communication.

• AAT Qualified
• Working towards professional qualifications such as ACCA or CIMA

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) security clearance.
