Job summary
A housing recruitment agency is seeking a Compliance Manager (Electrical & Lifts) to ensure compliance and manage risks. This full-time role, based in Luton, involves overseeing contractors and ensuring adherence to electrical and lifting legislation. The ideal candidate will have experience in social housing compliance and a solid understanding of relevant regulations. The position offers a competitive salary of up to £56,583 per annum and starts immediately, working Monday to Friday, 36 hours a week.
Qualifications
- Experience managing compliance risk in social housing.
- Comprehensive understanding of Electrical and lifting legislation.
- Basic knowledge of lift safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Be the named responsible person for compliance in service areas.
- Manage consultants and contractors to ensure timely budget deliveries.
- Investigate and resolve compliance issues collaboratively.
- Conduct quality inspections with consultants.
- Monitor contractor performance against KPIs.
Skills
We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Twickenham, who are recruiting for a Compliance Manager (Electrical & Lifts) on a permanent basis. The position is due to start immediately, and offers a competitive salary of up to £56,583 per annum.
This is a full-time position working 36 hours per week, Monday - Friday (9am - 5pm).
The ideal candidate will have experience successfully managing compliance risk in social housing and a comprehensive up to date knowledge of Electrical and lifting legislation and regulatory requirements, including basic lift safety.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Be the named responsible person for your service areas, making sure we remain compliant and meet our regulatory and legislative responsibilities
- Manage external consultants, contractors, and specialists, making sure work is delivered in budget and on time
- Escalate, investigate, and resolve examples of non-compliance, working collaboratively across the business and with external teams
- Analyse feedback to make sure work is carried out in accordance with agreed service standards, legislation, and contract documents
