Create and maintain a proactive and stable IT environment as well as provide IT support to our Epic people. You will be empowered to shape processes that deliver optimized IT service across our business. Work with emerging technologies while enabling IT success for everyone.

As the Tech Lead for the Cloud Infrastructure Engineering organisation you will provide technical leadership and hands-on support for the teams in CIE, who look after the underlying core services of the developer platform, such as Kubernetes, Vault, authn / authz, networking, and both on-premise and cloud hosting. As a customer-centric engineering organisation, you'll work closely with our customers and the product team to ensure our services are aligned with their needs, and help shape the roadmap for the team. You will set and define engineering best practices in the organisation, and work across Core Tech to ensure alignment with other parts of the organisation.

• Support and mentor the other engineers in CIE, providing technical direction and support
• Help lead the strategy and vision for CIE, ensuring our goals are aligned with the rest of the organisation
• Develop high quality, stable code for use in infrastructure automation
• Write and publish RFCs, High Level Designs and developer documentation
• Problem solve at every layer of the technology stack
• Participate in bottom up planning around release schedules, workload and priority
• Design for privacy, security, compliance, high availability, performance and resilience across all web services and infrastructure capabilities

• In-depth experience in Golang, particularly in relation to infrastructure automation
• Extensive knowledge of working with AWS and Kubernetes solutions like EKS
• Experience with and a strong understanding of networking
• Experience with products like Vault for secrets management, and automation of infrastructure components
• Experience with authentication / authorization technologies
