Are you detail–oriented with a knack for numbers? We're looking for an Assistant Finance & Reconciliation Accountant to support our finance team with daily reconciliations, reporting, and accurate financial record–keeping. You'll play a key role in ensuring transactional integrity across multiple systems, working closely with internal teams to resolve discrepancies. Ideal for someone with strong Excel skills, a methodical approach, and a passion for problem–solving. We have an exciting opportunity at our Openshaw campus to join our Finance Department as a – Assistant Finance & Reconciliation Accountant on a permanent, full time (37 hours per week) basis.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

• Studying for Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification
• Detail–oriented and highly organized Accounting Assistant with a strong background in financial analysis and reporting. Seeking to utilize skills and knowledge to support the accounting team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Proficient in financial statements, reconciling accounts, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. Skilled in using accounting software and Excel to analyse data and support the finance team in daily operations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, knowledge of basic accounting principles, strong attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent communication skills, organizational skills, time management skills, familiarity with accounting software. Proactive and hardworking, ability to use own initiative and work as part of a team. Excellent organisational and time management skills and attention to detail. Positive, flexible enthusiastic and driven. Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Experience of working in a busy finance team including processing transactions, performing reconciliations and producing analyses of financial transactions.
