Security Architect
Job summary
A leading technology company in the UK is seeking an experienced security architect to implement security architecture strategy and ensure compliance. This role involves creating secure designs and working closely with product and engineering teams. Candidates should have experience in a regulated financial services environment and be effective communicators of technical risks. The position supports a hybrid work model, requiring three days in the office.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience in successfully executing strategy in security.
- Risk-focused and pragmatic in security architecture thinking.
- Extensive experience in regulated/PCI compliant financial services.
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of the security architecture strategy.
- Enable secure design for new developments through defining requirements.
- Drive engagement with product and engineering teams for security.
Skills
A key contributor in the Security Architecture and Engineering team responsible for defining and ensuring the 'secure by design' principles with our Product and Engineering teams.
You will support the delivery of a security technology roadmap and the wider Architecture and Engineering teams in the delivery of secure and compliant solutions and services.
This includes working with teams across Planet to help define security requirements and validate that designs are deployed in compliance with security standards.
- Support the implementation of the security architecture strategy and roadmap.
- Enable a secure design approach for new developments and delivery through the definition of security control requirements, secure design patterns, and secure configuration.
- Drive security engagement with the product and engineering teams and ensure security requirements are being baked in at the start.
- Provide assurance that controls are implemented as designed.
- Demonstrable experience in successfully executing on strategy and continuous security improvement in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment.
- Risk-focused and pragmatic in security architecture thinking and delivery.
- Effective at articulating technical security risks and what controls need to be deployed.
- Extensive experience with working Product and Engineering team in a regulated / PCI compliance Financial Services / Payments organisation.
- Exposure to multiple technology environments including infrastructure services hosted on cloud platforms.
