Job summary
A recruitment agency is seeking an LGV Driver for waste collection in the United Kingdom. The role involves driving recycling vehicles, ensuring safety checks, and assisting in waste removal. - Drive Recycling Vehicles for collection of recyclable and domestic waste.
- Perform associated vehicle safety checks.
- Ensure all kerbside collections are made in line with the companies SLA's.

- Overtime rates of pay in addition to the basic salary
- Drive the Recycling Vehicles for the collection of recyclable and domestic waste
- Responsible for the associated vehicle safety checks, operation, and crew
- Working on a two-week round rotation, ensuring all kerbside collections are made in line with the companies SLA's
- Assist loaders in the removal of waste or recyclate, where and when appropriate
- Deal with customers and the public at large
- Use Bartec to record all collections in real time (Training provided)
- Full PPE, training, and a health and safety induction will be provided
- Work basic hours Monday to Thursday 06:45 to 15:15 and Friday 06:45 to 14:45
- Work Bank Holidays and up to 8 Saturdays per year (overtime enhancements will apply)
The successful candidates will ideally have a clean Class 2 licence, CPC and Tacho card, and relevant experience. They should be a conscientious hard-working team player with good communication and basic administration skills. Experience within waste transport or recycling operations would be a distinct advantage, and a driving assessment forms part of the recruitment process. Candidates must be physically fit to carry out manual handling activities.
