A leading NHS hospital trust in the United Kingdom is seeking a Clinical Fellow for its Hepatobiliary Unit. This role is suitable for those in mid to late higher surgical training, offering opportunities in complex benign biliary disease and emergency surgery. Responsibilities include inpatient care under supervision, performing major resections, and teaching medical students and junior doctors. Candidates must commit to a clinical research project. This position closes on 17 Dec 2025.
The Hepatobiliary Unit has a vacancy for one Clinical Fellow, to work at ST4-8 level. This post would be suitable for individuals either at the mid‑point or towards the end of their higher surgical training. The learning opportunities encompass complex benign biliary disease, hepatobiliary malignancy, general and emergency surgery.
A commitment to a clinical research project would be a prerequisite for this post.
The Hepatobiliary and Colorectal units have built upon the expertise in the management of complex liver surgery and colorectal cancer surgery. Patients are referred to the units for assessment and treatment from all over the United Kingdom. Referrals are also received from overseas. Hampshire Hospitals is also a centre of excellence for neuroendocrine tumours.
