• You must have reliable transportation as this location is not accessible via public transportation such as Metro Access, Metro Bus, or Rail.
• This position is located in Cheltenham, MD at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC).
• The core working hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
• The pay rate is $17.74 per hour.
• This position requires a criminal background check, drug screening, and the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

• Sweep and mop hallways, stairs, and offices.
• Empty wastebaskets and dispose of trash properly.
• Dust horizontal surfaces.
• Empty and wash ashtrays.
• Clean bathrooms.
• Wax and buff floors with prescribed buffers.
• Clean glass and windows.
• Wash walls and other vertical surfaces.
• Sweep and clear snow from outside steps and sidewalks.
• Polish kick panels, doorknobs, and other fixtures.
• Strip and wax floors.
• Vacuum rugs.
• Mix cleaning solutions.
• Maintain issued equipment.
• Notify supervisor when supplies and equipment are needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Custodial Foreman.

• Must be able to stand 80% of the work time, walk 15%, and sit 5%.
• Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and handle.
• These skills are necessary for using ladders and stairs, and cleaning various areas.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers.
• Must have good vision, depth perception, and the ability to distinguish colors for safety and chemical identification.

• Minimum of six months of experience.
• Ability to learn and perform essential functions.
• Must pass security clearance for designated contracts.
