A facilities management company is looking for a proactive Assistant Facilities Manager in Milton Keynes. We’re seeking a proactive Assistant Facilities Manager to support the delivery of best-in-class FM services across a diverse commercial property portfolio — including multi‑tenanted industrial, office, and neighbourhood retail schemes.
Reporting directly to the Head of Facilities Management, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations, building strong tenant relationships, and maintaining compliance across multiple client sites.
- Assist in overseeing FM services across varied client portfolios
- Support contractor management and supplier procurement
- Administer Health & Safety and Contractor Registration Scheme systems
- Conduct regular site and vacant unit inspections with detailed reporting
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation
- Build and maintain strong tenant relationships
- Instruct contractors on planned and ad‑hoc maintenance work
- Assist with service charge budgets, annual expenditure, and reconciliations
- Support utility procurement, approve supplier invoices, and manage tenant recharges
- Minimum one year’s experience in commercial facilities management
- Strong knowledge of FM principles and health & safety compliance
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Relationship‑builder with suppliers and tenants alike
- Willingness to travel to sites across the UK (typically within 2.5 hours)
