A leading design firm in the UK is seeking a Designer for Masonry Support Systems. The role involves designing a high-quality range of masonry support systems, reviewing architectural drawings, and producing technical details for site installation. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing such systems and be proficient in AutoCAD and Solidworks. The position offers a salary of £30,000 to £40,000 plus bonus, with benefits including hybrid work options and annual leave.

- Designer position dealing with a high quality range of masonry support systems such as wall ties, wind posts, lintels, cavity tray, brick soffit systems
- Design masonry support systems (brackets, angles, ties) for brickwork façades
- Review architectural/structural drawings to define support requirements
- Produce clear design drawings and technical details for site installation
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and suppliers to confirm solutions
- Provide technical support to project and site teams
- Ensure all designs meet building regulations and project specifications
- Resolve site queries and coordination issues related to masonry support
- Deal with project sizes between £5,000 and £500,000
- Must have designed masonry support systems, masonry, lintels, wall ties, wind posts, tension bars, steel beams, concrete reinforcement, concrete support systems, metal decking, rainscreen cladding, anchors, etc.
- Ideally have experience with AutoCAD and Solidworks software packages
- Ability to hit the ground running and work independently
