Job summary

COLAS ROADS UK is seeking a Zonal Response Team (ZRT) Operative based at our Doxey depot, ST18 9LG. You will follow instructions from the Dispatcher, carry out works orders on time, and uphold safety and quality standards while working outdoors.

The role operates on a 42-hour week with a 4 on / 4 off pattern, day shifts, and additional overtime/shift rates. Attractive benefits include pension, life cover, and flexible working options where role permits.

Qualifications

• Experience in highways maintenance or similar environment.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.
• HGV Class 2 Licence required unless strong Traffic Management background.
• C1E driving experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out temporary highway repairs safely.
• Installing and removing traffic management.
• Operating machinery and equipment.
• Following COSHH and HAVS safety procedures.
• Driving in line with Road Traffic Act regulations.
• Working 4 days on / 4 days off (days, nights & bank holidays).
• Ensuring all operations are safe for visitors and staff.
• Minimising environmental impact.
