Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is recruiting for a Highways Emergency Response Team (ERT) Level 1 based around Denham, Uxbridge, to support the M25 DBFO network. You will perform incident response, hazard clearance and routine maintenance across the network, on a 4-on/4-off schedule including day and night shifts.

The role requires valid UK driving licence CE, TMF/LTMO and related TM qualifications, with travel between depots and sites, plus a strong focus on safety and Zero Harm.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid UK driving licence CE (LGV class 2).
• Driver Qualification Card (DQC) required.
• CSCS Operative Card required.
• 12AB for Static Temporary Traffic Management on high‑speed roads and APTR.
• TMF or LTMO qualification required.
• 12AB IPV courses completed.

Responsibilities

• Undertake site tasks including cyclical maintenance, carriageway repairs, grass/soft estate work, litter picking and sign maintenance.
• Implement Chapter 8 Traffic Management in line with CPS policies and risk assessments.
• Provide accurate written and verbal reports and maintain records.
• Use mobile devices to input data for records and forms.
• Carry out routine vehicle checks and maintain driving records per legislation.
• Participate in Winter Service rota and attend training courses.
• Live the Balfour Beatty Values and maintain Zero Harm focus.
