Job summary

Guidant Global’s client is expanding its Zero Waste team, seeking a proactive Zero Waste Assistant to support stores and depots with compliance reporting, supplier surveys and day-to-day waste management tasks.

You’ll coordinate with suppliers, handle intake queries, arrange signage for new stores, and help clear fly tipping through collaboration with waste partners, in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Interest or qualification in waste management or sustainability.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with a can-do attitude.
• Organised with strong time management.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with waste suppliers, stores and depots to ensure compliance and service.
• Manage the waste and recycling inbox and respond to queries.
• Arrange signage and guides for new stores.
• Coordinate charity collections of surplus products from Home offices.
• Work with the Salcayion army and waste management companies to clear fly tipping promptly.
