Job summary

Total Waste Recruitment is seeking an experienced Waste & Recycling Operations Manager to lead a busy production team at a fast-paced processing site. You will oversee day-to-day running, ensure plant and equipment are maintained, and drive compliance with EH&S and quality standards.

You will manage, motivate, and develop a team of production staff; support commercial activities, and contribute to overall business performance.

Qualifications

A relevant qualification such as COTC/WAMITAB.
Proven experience managing a waste processing or recycling site.
Background working with materials such as wood waste, scrap metal, plastics, construction/demolition waste, composting, landfill, aggregates, anaerobic digestion, MRF/MBT operations, or other heavy industry.
Desirable : NEBOSH or IOSH certification.
A full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

Overseeing day-to-day running of a busy waste processing site.
Ensuring plant and equipment are properly maintained and operational.
Maintaining compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety, and Quality standards.
Managing, motivating, and developing a team of production staff.
Supporting commercial activities and contributing to overall business performance.
