MidCo Care Limited is hiring zero-hour contract support workers for our Supported Living services in Hatfield, St Albans and Watford. You will help vulnerable adults live as independently as possible, perform personal care, meals and medication support, while following care plans and safeguarding procedures.

Hours are allocated across day shifts, sleep-ins and waking nights. A DBS check is required; training is provided and pension, holidays and progression opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Relevant work experience in a support worker or care worker role is desirable but full training is provided.
• A genuine passion for care and a strong team player mentality are important.
• Good written and oral communication skills; computer literacy is desirable.
• NVQ 1/2 Health and Social Care Certificate (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.

Responsabilités

• Provide day-to-day support to vulnerable adults with learning disabilities or mental health challenges.
• Safeguard service users and maintain accurate, confidential care documentation.
• Medication administration, personal care, meal preparation and feeding.
• Assist with community visits and flexible shift patterns including days, sleep-ins and nights.

We are recruiting Zero Hour contract Support Workers for our Supported Living Services in the following areas in Hertfordshire:

• Hatfield


• St Albans


• Watford

As a Care Worker. you will be required to provide day-to-day support to vulnerable adults who have Learning Disabilities and/or mental health challenges, enabling them to live as independently as possible in our Supported Living services.

You will be responsible for safeguarding and supporting Service User in our care according to their care plan, following the procedures in place to safeguard them. You will attend to any arising Service User queries, complaints, and challenges, including maintaining accurate, confidential and up-to-date documentation on all cases of safeguarding.Other duties and tasks may include medication administration, personal care, meal preparation and feeding, cleaning and accompanying during visits in the community.

Hours of Supported Living work will be allocated on a shift basis, covering day shifts, sleep-ins and waking night shifts.
