Job summary

MidCo Care Limited in Northamptonshire is recruiting Zero Hour contract Support Workers for our Supported Living services. You will provide day-to-day support to vulnerable adults who have learning disabilities and/or mental health challenges, enabling them to live as independently as possible in our services.

You will safeguard, support care plans, and document activities while addressing service user queries and challenges.

Qualifications

• Relevant work experience in a support worker or care worker role is desirable, as full training is provided.
• A genuine passion for care and resilience.
• A strong team player with good communication skills.
• Computer literacy is required.
• NVQ 1/2 Health and Social Care Certificate is desirable but not essential.
• A full UK driving licence is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard and support Service Users in our care according to their care plan.
• Follow procedures to safeguard service users and maintain confidential records.
• Attend to queries, complaints and challenges, with accurate documentation.
• Medication administration, personal care, meal preparation and feeding as required.
• Cleaning and accompanying service users during visits in the community.

We are recruiting Zero Hour contract Support Workers for our Supported Living Services in the following areas in Northamptonshire:

• Northampton
• Corby
• Wellingborough

As a Care Worker. you will be required to provide day-to-day support to vulnerable adults who have Learning Disabilities and/or mental health challenges, enabling them to live as independently as possible in our Supported Living services.

You will be responsible for safeguarding and supporting Service User in our care according to their care plan, following the procedures in place to safeguard them. You will attend to any arising Service User queries, complaints, and challenges, including maintaining accurate, confidential and up-to-date documentation on all cases of safeguarding. Other duties and tasks may include medication administration, personal care, meal preparation and feeding, cleaning and accompanying during visits in the community.

Hours of Supported Living work will be allocated on a shift basis, covering day shifts, sleep-ins and waking night shifts.
