Job summary

8 Lions Entertainment, a London-based data-led IP studio, seeks an experienced YouTube Channel Manager to run daily operations, strategy and performance reporting for a portfolio of partner brands. You’ll report to the VP Digital Partnerships and collaborate with the UK and Asia teams and partners worldwide.

The role combines creative and analytical skills, with ownership and opportunities to grow within a dynamic, globally connected environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of YouTube and social media management experience, content strategy and platform relationship management.
• Confidence with data in YouTube Analytics and Excel and the ability to turn numbers into clear recommendations.
• Experience with Content ID and rights management.
• Detailed, current knowledge of how YouTube works, from the algorithm and CMS to policies and monetisation. YouTube certification is an advantage.
• Proficiency in additional languages is desirable
• Hands-on creative skills using Photoshop and Premiere Pro for edits and compilations.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace day to day

Responsibilities

• Set and deliver channel strategy across a portfolio of channels, including long-form, Shorts and playlists.
• Grow audience and revenue, optimising across key performance metrics
• Use YouTube Analytics, CMS reports and data tools for testing and growth planning.
• Write and optimise titles, descriptions, tags and metadata to suit each partner’s brand and tone.
• Own each channel’s visual identity
• Manage programming, working with studios and IP owners to ensure timely deliveries.
• Manage Content ID, claims, disputes, asset management and territory restrictions.
• Ensure compliance with Made for Kids requirements, COPPA, and brand-safety standards.
• Act as day-to-day contact for partners, including onboarding new channels.
• Regular reporting on performance to leadership and partners
• Track and report internally on platform, policy and monetisation changes and audience trends.
