Job summary

8 Lions Entertainment, a London-based data-led IP studio, is seeking a Director to lead the day-to-day operations, strategy, and performance reporting for its YouTube, TikTok, and social channels portfolio. This full-time, remote role is for a UK-based candidate with travel to London for meetings.

You will build and manage a global channel management team, drive audience growth, engagement and revenue, and maintain client relationships while staying ahead of platform changes and trends.

Qualifications

• Experience managing YouTube and social channels, with a track record of growth.
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills, forecasting revenue and budgets.
• Experience with kids content is a plus.
• Proficiency with analytics tools and platform management tools.

Responsibilities

• Set operations and commercial strategy with the leadership team and deliver against KPIs.
• Lead and develop the global channel management team.
• Oversee day-to-day operations across the channels network, client rel, scheduling, reporting, and best practices.
• Report on channel performance to the business and key clients.
• Track competitor data and translate into actionable insights.
• Stay ahead of platform changes and trends.
• Test in-house tools for further development.
• Represent 8 Lions at industry events when required.

The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Director to lead the day-to-day operation, strategy and performance reporting of our YouTube, Tiktok and other social media channels portfolio, with a clear focus on growing audiences, engagement and revenue. You'll build and manage a team of channel managers, work with some of the most iconic properties, and be a key voice within our team and externally with our partners. This is a full-time, remote role for someone based in the UK, with travel to London for team and partner meetings. It suits a creative thinker and hands-on manager who is highly organised, has a sharp eye for detail and thrives in a fast-moving business.

What You'll Do

What You'll Bring

• YouTube and social channel management experience, content strategy and platform relationship management.
• A proven track record of managing and developing teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and forecasting skills for building revenue projections and budgets.
• Experience with kid’s content preferred.
• Proficiency of YouTube Analytics and Content ID, Adobe Creative Cloud, Tubular Labs, MS office suite etc.
