BBC is seeking a YouTube Entertainment Community Lead for its Youth Audiences team in Salford. The role focuses on growing and managing audiences for a new UK-focused entertainment channel, reporting to the YouTube Entertainment Editor.

Qualifications

• Experience building and growing online communities in entertainment/youth brands.
• Proven success engaging 16-34-year-olds across YouTube and social platforms.
• Knowledge of YouTube features, engagement strategies and analytics.
• Experience publishing content on YouTube and at least one other major social platform.
• Ability to use audience data to inform content and community strategies.
• Strong editorial and scheduling skills; maintain audience tone and voice.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsabilités

• Lead audience and community management, creating a distinctive and engaging channel voice.
• Manage weekly publishing schedules across YouTube, including long-form content, Shorts and supporting social posts.
• Drive community engagement through comments, polls, posts, live chats and other YouTube tools.
• Develop initiatives that increase audience loyalty, repeat viewing and deeper engagement.
• Collaborate with editorial teams to identify audience interests, conversations and emerging trends.
• Optimise content using YouTube best practices, including titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, testing and publishing strategies.
• Monitor community health and performance, maintain workflows and reporting, and support audience growth across YouTube, TikTok and Instagram.
