The Edwin Group is seeking experienced SEND Youth Workers to work in a forward-thinking school that caters to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

About The Role
  • The Youth Worker will be supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs on a one-to-one basis.
  • Building a strong rapport with students and supporting with their complex medical needs.
  • Following the guidance of the teacher but using their own initiative to help the students thrive in school.
  • Working hours per week, term-time only.
  • Have the choice of working with primary or secondary aged children.
About The School
  • Located in the charming town of Aylesbury, easily accessible with parking and public transport links from areas such as Leighton Buzzard, Hemel Hempstead, Bicester, and Luton.
  • Caters to students with Severe and Profound Learning Difficulties and is very well-resourced.
  • Keen to help staff progress in their career with the opportunity to become an Unqualified Teacher.
  • A positive staff culture with wellbeing initiatives running all year round, including 15 Mental Health First Aiders.
About You
  • A relevant qualification such as Childcare, Health and Social Care.
  • Able to obtain suitable references and a valid DBS check.
  • Experience working with children with challenging behaviours and backgrounds.
  • A non-judgmental and caring approach with a resilient and resourceful character.
