Tradewind Recruitment is supporting a Secondary SEMH school in Tameside seeking a compassionate Youth Mentor to provide one-to-one and small-group support, helping pupils build confidence, emotional resilience, and positive behaviours.
You will work with teachers and pastoral staff to create a safe, nurturing environment where pupils feel understood and able to engage with education. Hours are 8:30am-3:45pm, pay from £100 per day, start ASAP.
Do you have experience supporting young people and a genuine passion for helping them overcome barriers and reach their potential?
We are working with a supportive and inclusive SEMH provision in Tameside that is looking for compassionate, resilient, and committed individuals to join their team and make a genuine difference to the lives of young people.
The pupils you will support may experience anxiety, ADHD, trauma, attachment difficulties, emotional dysregulation, low self-esteem, and behaviours that challenge. Many have faced significant barriers both inside and outside of education and require adults who are patient, consistent, understanding, and willing to see the person behind the behaviour.
As a Youth Mentor, you will provide personalised one-to-one and small-group support, helping pupils develop confidence, emotional resilience, positive behaviours, and the skills they need to engage successfully with education. You will work alongside teachers and pastoral staff to create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where pupils feel understood, supported, and able to succeed.
If you're looking for a role where what you do genuinely matters, this could be the opportunity for you.
You’ll have the chance to work alongside experienced education and pastoral professionals while developing your own skills and experience in SEMH support.
If you're passionate about supporting young people and ready to make a real difference, we'd love to hear from you.
