Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking a Youth Mentor to provide personalised one-to-one and small-group support in a Secondary SEMH setting in Tameside. You will help pupils develop confidence, emotional resilience, and positive behaviours alongside teachers and pastoral staff.

The role emphasizes building strong relationships, monitoring wellbeing, and delivering targeted interventions in a nurturing, structured environment. 8:30am–3:45pm, with day rates starting from £100 per day.

Qualifications

• Experience in SEMH support is desirable.
• Experience working with young people with additional needs is preferred.
• Ability to build calm, supportive relationships with pupils.

Responsibilities

The Role

As a Youth Mentor, you will provide personalised one-to-one and small-group support, helping pupils develop confidence, emotional resilience, positive behaviours, and the skills they need to engage successfully with education. You will work alongside teachers and pastoral staff to create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where pupils feel understood, supported, and able to succeed.
