Qualifications

• Category B driving licence with business use is required.

We pay an attractive salary of £29,387.28 - £32,086.24 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Innovate Project as a Lead Youth Worker. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality youth work programmes, empowering young people to overcome barriers, build confidence and resilience, and achieve positive outcomes in their personal and education development.

• A relevant Level 3 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example, Youth and Community Work, Community Development, Criminal Justice, Early Years, Education, Teaching, Social Work
• Experience of delivering support, training and mentoring to young people
• A full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough to visit young people and to transport them on a regular basis during the week.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and a comprehensive screening process will be undertaken on all successful applicants. This will include an enhanced check with the Disclosure and Barring Service. The Education (Wales) Act 2014 and the Education Workforce Council (Main Functions) (Wales) Regulations 2015 as amended, set out the requirement for qualified youth workers and qualified youth support workers to be registered in the category or categories of registration for the work the undertake. Your employment will be subject to satisfactory documentary evidence of registration, and continuing registration, as a qualified youth worker or qualified youth support work.
