Youth Worker - Kidlington

An AMAZING specialist school in Kidlington are looking for a Youth Worker to join them on a full time basis, to start ASAP.

About the School

A specialist school supporting children and young people aged 4-16 years.

Their pupils have a range of additional and co-existing needs, including:

  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD
  • Behavioural and emotional needs
  • Vulnerability and complex individual circumstances

We are looking for a caring, patient and enthusiastic Youth Worker to join our dedicated team.As a Youth Worker, you will:

  • Support children and young people with their emotional, social and behavioural development.
  • Help pupils develop confidence, independence and life skills.
  • Provide individual and group support based on each young person's needs.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and help pupils develop appropriate coping strategies.
  • Support pupils who may experience anxiety, emotional dysregulation or challenging behaviour.
  • Take part in activities that promote communication, social skills, confidence and wellbeing.
  • Follow individual support plans and contribute to pupils' wider development.
