Job summary

Academics is seeking a Youth Worker for a full-time role at a specialist school in Kidlington to start ASAP. You will support children and young people aged 4-16 with SEMH, ASD and behavioural needs, helping them develop emotional and social skills.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, follow individual support plans, promote wellbeing, and encourage confidence and independence. Salary £90-£105 per day, depending on qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support children and young people with their emotional, social and behavioural development.
  • Help pupils develop confidence, independence and life skills.
  • Provide individual and group support based on each young person's needs.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and help pupils develop coping strategies.
  • Support pupils who may experience anxiety or challenging behaviour.
  • Take part in activities that promote communication, social skills, confidence and wellbeing.
  • Follow individual support plans and contribute to pupils' wider development.
