Job summary

Empowering Learning is seeking a dedicated Youth Worker to support SEMH students at a Salford-based school. You will work with children with autism, dyslexia, ADHD and challenging behaviours to promote learning and personal development.

In this role you will provide one-on-one and small-group support, collaborate with teachers to create tailored learning plans, and help foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment while promoting independence and resilience throughout the school day.

Youth Worker / Behavioural/ SEMH TA

Empowering Learning are working closely with a vibrant behavioural school, supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties in Salford. The ideal candidate should be resilient and confident supporting children with Autism ASD, Dyslexia, ADHD, Challenging Behaviours.

Your Role

As a Youth Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting special needs children in their academic and personal development. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing one-on-one and group assistance to students with social and emotional difficulty.
• Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to create tailored learning plans.
• Fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Assisting with daily activities, personal care, and promoting independence.

Requirements

• Experience working with SEMH children is preferred but not essential.
• Passion for creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service / or commitment to apply

Location Salford, Greater Manchester
Full-time 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay 16.79 per hour
