Prospero Teaching is looking for a motivated and resilient Youth Worker to support students in a primary school in Knutsford.

The school caters to students in Key Stages 1 and 2 with an Educational Health and Care Plan (EHCP) identifying ASD and ADHD.

The position is open to all experienced individuals with backgrounds in youth work, sports coaching, support work, or mentoring children and young adults. Depending on performance, the school may extend the contract or offer a permanent position.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

  • Position – Youth Worker
  • Type of work – Classroom support
  • Start date – September
  • Duration – Full academic year
  • Minimum rate of pay – £95 per day
  • Hours – 8:30 am – 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a similar setting
  • LEVEL 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent and above is preferable
  • GCSE Maths and English; computer literate
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training issued within the last year

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced child DBS certificate registered with the update service or willingness to apply for a new one
  • Two professional child-related references covering at least the last two years
